Project Overview

Cadoava self-performed underground utility replacement and site concrete for The Homestead Resort, a continuously operating property in the Heber Valley, working in phases so guests and daily operations were never interrupted. The scope ran from locating and replacing aging water and sewer laterals through hand-excavation near historic structures to pouring the finished concrete walkways that replaced the disturbed surface.

The Challenge

Working on a landmark, continuously operating resort required exact coordination with property management. Utility trenching near historic structures demanded hand-digging in sensitive areas and real-time documentation of existing underground conditions that weren't reflected on available as-builts.

Scope of Work

  • Underground utility investigation and as-built documentation
  • Water and sewer lateral replacement in active resort areas
  • Phased utility installation to eliminate guest impact
  • Trench excavation by hand in proximity to historic structures
  • Backfill, compaction, and new concrete walkways matching the property's historic pavement
  • Coordination with Wasatch County utility providers
