Utah County · Silicon Slopes

Excavation Contractor — Lehi, UT

Lehi excavation splits into two very different jobs. On the valley floor, Silicon Slopes commercial and mixed-use work means large-volume mass excavation on aggressive schedules, where the dig is on somebody's critical path and a week of slip is expensive. Up on Traverse Mountain, it's benched residential lots where the challenge is cut and fill on a slope and keeping water moving the right direction. We do both, with our own fleet.

Excavation in Lehi — what's different here

Built for commercial schedules

Lehi's tech and mixed-use projects run tight. Owning our equipment means we don't lose days waiting on a rental yard.

Traverse Mountain benching

Hillside lots need engineered cut and fill and drainage planned alongside the dig, not after it.

Dense utility coordination

Lehi's build-out density means excavation constantly runs into existing utilities. Locates and careful trenching are half the job.

How we do it

1

Site review & staking

We walk the site, review civil and geotech plans, confirm utilities are located, and set grade references before a machine moves.

2

Clearing & stripping

Vegetation, debris, and topsoil are cleared and stockpiled or hauled off, with erosion controls placed per the SWPPP.

3

Mass excavation & cut/fill

We cut to subgrade, balance fill on-site where possible, and compact in lifts to engineered density.

4

Trenching & fine work

Utility trenches, footings, and detail excavation are dug to line and grade, shored and protected per OSHA.

5

Final grade & cleanup

We bring the site to subgrade tolerance, verify with survey, and leave it ready for the next trade.

Questions we get in Lehi

Can you handle large-volume excavation for Lehi commercial projects?

Yes. We self-perform mass excavation, cut and fill, and subgrade prep, and we've delivered sitework packages on commercial and hospitality projects across Utah and the Mountain West.

What makes excavation on Traverse Mountain different?

Slope. Cut and fill has to be engineered, retaining is often part of the same scope, and drainage has to be solved during the dig — water moving the wrong way on a bench lot is expensive to fix later.
