Cadoava builds the civil portion of underground fiber, telecom, and utility routes for the companies constructing those networks in Utah and Arizona: trenching, conduit and innerduct placement, potholing, handhole and vault excavation, backfill and compaction, and asphalt, concrete, curb, and sidewalk restoration. We own the excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, and trucks, and we bring our own operators. When your crews or your civil partners need more capacity, we bring the equipment and operators to get it done.

Qualify
Send us your vendor form or MSA. We return the certificate of insurance, W-9, equipment list, and references under our legal entity name.
Locate & pothole
Blue Stakes (Utah) or Arizona 811 tickets filed with the required notice, private locates where needed, and conflicts potholed and documented before the trench opens.
Trench, place, backfill
Open-cut trenching to your spec, conduit and innerduct placed, bedding and warning tape, backfill compacted in lifts. A named OSHA competent person is on every dig.
Restore & report
Asphalt, concrete, curb, and sidewalk restored to the permit standard. Daily feet, photos, and accepted quantities reported so your pay app is never waiting on us.
What we build
Trenching and excavation. Conduit and innerduct placement. Potholing and daylighting. Handhole and vault excavation and setting. Road and utility crossings. Bedding, backfill, and compaction. We work as a subcontractor to network owners, outside-plant prime contractors, public-infrastructure primes, and electrical contractors. Our current work includes underground utility conduit and trenching, and we are mobilizing an underground utility trench in Arizona for an electrical contractor in late 2026.
What we don't do
We don't splice fiber or design networks, and we don't own a directional drill rig. We build the civil portion of the route, and we build it cleanly. If your build needs a drill crew or a splicer, we work alongside the one you already use.
Equipment we own
Large excavators. Mini excavators with attachments. Skid steers and track loaders with attachments. Bobcat L95 loader and dozer capability. Dump trucks and dump trailers. Gooseneck trailers, lowboy, and side dump. Support trucks, solar light towers, and site storage. Every machine is ours, so a mobilization is a scheduling decision, not a rental search.
Service area
Primary: Utah, Wasatch, Summit, Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, Morgan, and Juab counties, from our yard in American Fork. Also Arizona, where we are licensing now, and Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada by project. We routinely mobilize crews and equipment to remote and out-of-state jobsites.
Safety, quality, and documentation
Blue Stakes of Utah and Arizona 811 locate process on every job. OSHA trench-safety competent person named for every dig, with the protective system chosen for the trench depth. Daily production and photo log. Documented restoration and closeout. Change orders in writing before the work, not after.
Prequalification information
Available on request: certificate of insurance (general liability and workers' compensation), W-9, Utah contractor license (E100 General Engineering and B100), bonding history, equipment list with model and year, key personnel, references, and our written safety program. Arizona licensing is in process. Ask for our prequalification package and we will send it through a permissioned link.
How pricing works
We price the way outside-plant work is actually built. These are the items that move the number on a civil package; send us a segment and we will turn a price around.
- Crew-day rate with a mobilization line until production is measured on your route, then unit prices by surface and installation type.
- Surface crossed: open rural shoulder, residential asphalt, concrete sidewalk and curb, and highway crossings are priced separately.
- Ground conditions: rock, groundwater, and utility congestion change production and are stated as assumptions in the bid.
- Potholing, traffic control, and restoration carry their own line items, never buried in the trench price.
- Prevailing-wage jobs are priced off the county wage determination with certified payroll, not our standard labor rate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do fiber work as a subcontractor or as a prime?
As a subcontractor. We build the civil portion of the route for the prime, the network owner, or the electrical contractor who holds the contract. We don't take on turnkey network builds.
Can you handle restoration, not just the trench?
Yes. Asphalt patching, concrete sidewalk and curb replacement, and shoulder restoration are self-performed by the same crews. Restoration quality is usually what the prime's client complains about, so we photograph it and close it out with you.
What do you need from us to get qualified?
Your vendor form or MSA, your insurance requirements, and the wage and bonding rules on the project. We return a certificate of insurance, W-9, license, equipment list, and references under our legal entity name, usually within a few business days.
Do you work on Davis-Bacon or federally funded broadband projects?
Yes, priced off the applicable wage determination with certified payroll. Tell us the funding source when you send the segment so the bid is built correctly the first time.
Do you work in Arizona?
Arizona licensing is in process, and we have underground utility work mobilizing there in late 2026. We bring our own crews and equipment from Utah and cluster work so a mobilization stays productive.
How fast can you mobilize?
It depends on committed work already on the schedule. Ask; we would rather be qualified now than start from zero when your civil capacity gets tight.
