Not every wall is a landscape feature. On commercial sites we build segmental block, MSE geogrid-reinforced, and cast-in-place concrete retaining walls — the kind that hold a parking structure cut or a building pad bench.
The line that matters is four feet. Under four feet of exposed height, a segmental block wall goes in without engineering. Over four feet, Utah jurisdictions require an engineered design — geogrid reinforcement, a drainage package behind the wall, and stamped drawings from a licensed structural engineer. We build to the stamped design; the engineering is billed separately, and we can coordinate it or work from your engineer's drawings.
